Schmuck..I am

IN life comes a time when you feel like being "somewhere"...and you would only know when u arrive in that space..irrespective of your family & friends telling/warning you...!

And then you feel like settling down, u feel u r ready for new experience and more responsibility. You analyse, whett, think and decide to take the next step..BUT what if you are wrong..

what if it was a camouflage..what if you should have thought through the consequences and the aftermath of your "decision"

What NOW if you are late..

Dont be a schmuck...whett your options really well, prioritise your expectation and especially your parents honour...fight for it...even if you have to let go that one this you may want...

UNLESS

You have still not arrived in that space.. (the case with me)... hmmmm

Are you at the right place ?

A mother and a baby camel were lazing around and suddenly the baby camel asked…

Baby: Mother, mother may I ask you some questions?

Mother: Sure! Why son is there something bothering you?

Baby: Why do camels have humps?

Mother: Well, son, we are desert animals, we need the humps to store water and we are known to survive without water

Baby: Okay, then why are our legs long and our feet rounded?

Mother: Son, obviously they are meant for walking in the desert, you know with these legs I can move around the desert better than anyone does! Said the mother proudly

Baby: Okay, then why are our eyelashes long? Sometimes it bother my sight

Mother: My son, those long thick eyelashes are your protective cover. They help to protect your eyes from the desert sand and wind. Said mother camel with eyes rimming with pride…….

Baby: I see. So the hump is to store water when we are in the desert, the legs are for walking through the desert and these eyelashes protect my eyes from the desert. Then what the hell are we doing here in the zzzoooooooo!

MORAL OF THE STORY IS:

“Skills, knowledge, abilities and experiences are only useful if you are at the right place”

Submerged !

Guys

I am just back from a musical extravaganza of a lifetime. Aly & Fila one of the best DJ's in the world were in town and of-course i dint waste anytime in re-working my schedule to accommodate this event.

At the venue, I must say i was thrilled and equally enchanted by their sense of trance, they literally brought the house down. There were two types of people present at the venue - One who'd heard them and the others who did not. Both went crazy with each beat of musical trance they played and took us right above ecstasy.

I got a chance to meet them at the beginning, we exchanged pleasantries & few snaps. I told them how huge a fan i was, and i had stocked almost all their collection in my Iphone. I placed few of my requests - lost language, neptune project & vast vision -- all of these were obliged at the most opportune moment - right when the crowd went berserk and just cldn't have handled any more.

Since the last few months i have been following them all over net, i went crazy moment i heard that they were going to play in Bangalore.

I must say these guys have the potential to be right there at the top, the very fact Armin (world's best DJ), Akesson, DJ Shah and many others also endorse their music, these guys have an amazingly bright future ahead.

Watch out for them! And just don't miss them, if they happen to be in your city.

As Nikhil Chinnappa said " those of you who came here thinking its just another sunday night to be spent at FUGA with your gf or with your frds - GUYS don't be surprised coz you all are gonna have an experience of a lifetime"

WELL i was SUBMERGED in the future sound of trance.

Cheers!

Pride and Prejudice (An article from TOI)

Who carries you on a rickshaw or an autorickshaw in Delhi? Biharis. Who drives the cars of Delhiites? Biharis. Who made Punjab the most prosperous state in the country? The answer again is Biharis. (Here too you may not agree.)

The credit for building the Delhi Metro or making Punjab prosperous will never go to Biharis. Does anyone ever say that blacks built America?

In colonial days, Bihar supplied the "girmitiya", or indentured, labour force that built countries like Mauritius,Suriname and Fiji. A bulk of the labour employed in the Raj capital of Calcutta came from Bihar. After Independence, as opportunities grew, Bihari workers flocked to places like Delhi, Punjab and Mumbai.

At the same time, Biharis excelled in other fields. Many of them became great political leaders, ICS and IAS
officers, scientists, doctors, engineers, writers and artists. Delhi and other Indian cities attracted huge white-collar Bihari populations and Biharis formed a large part of the Indian diaspora of professionals.

But in the eyes of the rest of India, "Bihari" had come to mean a labourer, a person doing menial jobs. It had become a term of scorn and contempt. In their anglicized lingo, places like Delhi University turned the word into "Harry", but the pejorative tone remained unmistakable.

Heaping scorn on the working classes is a universal phenomenon. That is how words like Negro, Paki (used for Pakistanis and Indians in Britain) and some of the words denoting dalit castes in India earned contemptuous connotations.

In fact, while Biharis were getting their hands dirty on Punjab's farms, Punjabis were migrating in hordes to the US, Canada, the UK and Australia. Never mind that they would take up blue-collar jobs as taxi drivers, petrol pump attendants and waiters in those faraway lands.

As the years passed, many of the Biharis who had come to Punjab or Mumbai as manual labourers started moving up the economic ladder as did the blue-collar Indian emigrants abroad. A usually unnoticed aspect of the so-called racial attacks against Indians abroad is the threat the rise of working classes poses to the entrenched social order. This accentuates the contempt they face. Viewed thus, the attacks on Biharis in Punjab, and Mumbai, and the attacks on Indians abroad are manifestations of the same phenomenon.

What stopped Biharis from bringing about a green revolution or building a Metro in Bihar? The answer is geography and history. Geography, because ravaged by floods, the land of Bihar was unable to feed its growing population. And history, because what was the centre of the biggest Indian empire in ancient times was reduced to an obscure provincial existence. The skewed landownership system introduced by the British rulers worsened the situation.

It is a story of a couple of hundred years. Things could have improved after Independence had the political leadership of Bihar been able to exert influence on the rulers in New Delhi to get enough funds for development projects and set off a process of industrialization in the state.

On the contrary, Bihar continued to live the same, conveniently ignored, provincial existence. A system built on casteism, nepotism, corruption and crime came to dominate the state. It spawned a neo-rich class of netas, babus, contractors and government engineers who would build palatial houses for themselves with the money meant for dams, power projects, ration for the poor or even fodder for cattle.

The money meant for roads, other infrastructure and public amenities would go into their bank accounts. No wonder, the roads - supposed to be built with public money - in front of those houses would be full of ditches and become the playground of pigs every monsoon.

With limited options of higher education and hardly any employment opportunities in the state, the youth of Bihar started looking out. They flooded places like Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University. They started dominating the country's toughest competitive tests like the IIT Joint Entrance Examination and the UPSC's civil services examination. With this success, Biharis started believing that they were the brainiest. As for others, they at least began to acknowledge that Biharis were inferior to none when it came to brainpower.

The academic success, however, did not do much to rid the word "Bihari" of the scorn it had gathered. People in Delhi continued to laugh at those who spoke with a Bihari accent. Those who spoke without an accent would get this compliment: "Oh, you are from Bihar? But you don't sound like a Bihari."

Biharis, meanwhile, were retreating into a shell, with little but the glory of ancient and medieval heroes like Buddha, Mahavira, Chandragupta, Chanakya, Ashoka, Aryabhatta, Guru Gobind Singh and Sher Shah to bask in. Now comes 11% growth. The state can recover from the damage it has suffered over hundreds of years only if such a high rate of growth can be sustained for many, many years. Then Biharis would not have to till others' land or build cities and countries elsewhere.

The writer is proud to be a Bihari. So am I.

AVATAR

What a phenomenon!! Refreshing & Re-defining movie experience.

Once in a while...OR rather...ONCE In a decade comes a movie that can re-define movie-making and give it a new direction..this happened with Gone with the wind - Ben Hur - The God Father - ET - The Shawshank Redemption - Independence Day -Titanic and then the latest 2012. They all brought about a different kind of change and perspective. I would place this new bewildering experience called AVATAR in a similar league...

But...it still stands CLASS apart..why?

Well all through these ages (and ever since i opened up to this world and learned to speak & understand) in movies, we have seen & been intimidated by ALIENs - (creatures whom we have tried to learn and understand in our motion pictures) threatening to dominate our mother Earth and posing a greater challenge to eradicate the human race. AND the world gets UNITED to fight this threat.

NOW Just turn this situation around...make ourselves the superior species, with overwhelming powers and technology posing a threat to other planets OR one in particular called - PANDORA(owned & dominated by a still evolving race called NA'VI - peace-loving indigenous inhabitants, who need to relocate or else will be destroyed with bombs by Alien humans. NA'VI - pose a stark resemblance to our very own Hindu mythology in some way (a clan known as ARYANS, color skin, god like appearance, monkey tails from Ramayana era, background hymns and many more). And this leads to a fight between extra terrestrials, fight for a ground to gain freedom of existence - and leading to unification of various clans to match the so called Aliens (humans) who just wouldn't understand their(Na'vi) perspective. Thank you MR. JAMES CAMERON

This guy is a genius...he just does n't believe in usual stuff...he gained ground with Terminator 2 - then vanished, returned back with TITANIC which was mind boggling - and again disappeared only to come back after more than a decade in his new AVATAR - although in a different way from his previous works - WHAT an Idea..wonderful characterization...genuine flow of emotions...such exquisite finesse, aesthete and eye for detail, he almost takes your breath away. This movie would take you to a whole new world filled with all the colours of life & hopes of existence.

You will be thrilled to enjoy the computer developed characters and their instant flow of varied emotions. SAM WORTHINGTON playing JAKE SULLEY in AVATAR who did catch our attention in Terminator 4 and made me look forward for his forthcoming BATMAN series ! BUT in this movie particularly he just couldn't match the might of his own AVATAR. Well we are still glad.

Rather all the animated characters looked so overpowering and just intact with their acting skills and keeping the audience on the edge of their seat.

Without going in to much details, i would recommend one and all to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. I really admired James Cameron and must say i am a huge fan of his perfection, the only thing i hate about him is that he takes a long long time to come in with a new concept. Few years back i read about his research on BISMARCK and how he was going to transform it into a motion picture, but may be the subject din't excite him enough...WELL lets thanks----else we wouldn't have got exposed to this whole new world of Avatar.

So enjoy - this TITANIC of a movie with definition of ALIENs redefined - at the backdrop of a love story & a race's commitment to fight for its rights & continuity of its existence!

Summing up - AVATAR is the mother of all blockbuster movies ever made till date; it is too enchanting and long lasting because of its elegant cinematic experience. SO rush to theaters NOW..coz I just can't wait to watch it third time...

Signing off.

Empty Spheus

The world has changed for me. And it seems - i have for the World.

There is a deep rising beneath from a vacuum filled of emotions - that's killing me. Is it because of failed relationships or friends that i think i've lost in my quest to grow professionally. I was a social animal, i had my own breed of cattle, but i cant find it any more.

Who is responsible for that. Well i dont know, but in life you are meant to make sacrifices ! These were mine.

I am in doldrums, my feelings are down and out. I have become stoic, unimaginative, unimpulsive - so not SINGH. But that's what you wanted - right! Well here i am.

But for those uninspired SOULS - Guys don't be stupid; Remember - "change the WORLD - never change for the World"

Don't make a fool of yourself.

A time of my life !

I just read a blog written by my very good friend parihar. It really inspired me to open up my blog and pen down few memories from my college book.

I miss college days a lot, but more than anything, i miss my friends and the frolicking time we had together. We were 6 of us, closely knitted, closely bound, meant to be together, till time did us apart. TAPAN, PARIHAR, SHANU, ADITI, PAYAL and Myself - we were like one big family of friends.

I dont have as sharper memory of my early days as parihar, so i dont remember when and how WE happened. But i think we ppl just clicked and found comfort and solace in each other.

So if someone was out and dry, there were always others to console and cheer up, all it took was few butter samosas and a treat in sri maya... (payal , shanu!!)

Shanu, Aditi and Payal's home were like our own home away from our native places. Parihar me and tapan were good at finding reason for all of us to hangaround at any of these places. Aunty never used ot mind, as we were like her own kids OR we were good at - "personification of decency "- at least i was ;)

Time passed on and we grew stronger together - be it studying for exams (i used to be very attentive then), bunking, pastime, movies, ralamandal (parihar babu), long driving, appearing for CAT, visiting IIM Indore, brand quizzing - we would just be together. Not to say, many would jealous us.

Aditi, Shanu and Payal had specific responsibilities of reciting lectures - 2 hrs before the paper - so as to enable me to pass the cut off - i never dissappoined them. Sometimes parihar and tapan also used to worry about me - and helped me in covering the course, although deep inside they knew "ye nahin sudhrega".

well life moved on and one by one we started getting de-engaged. First payal got married - we really missed her during our last few semesters - she used to be the cutie pie of the group - always ready to be pampered by her loving brothers (that would be me, tap and parihar).

Shanu on the other hand was a loving and caring sister who would just keep on babbling. She was a real chatterbox never short of energy, which made US a good companion - we would move around the college pestering everyone and anyone - (stupid cupid).....time moved on - she is well placed in hyd - should get married soon, but she doesn't speak to me any more. I dont know why.

Aditi, my best friend, who understood me better than anyone else, was the real powerhouse. Lots of energy, esp in her voice - it irritates me till date - while speaking to her i made sure to be at a safe distance from the speaker (she wil kill me for this).

She would just know what and how i feel, if i was low she would be the one to share my pain (when girls ditched me) she would care the most for everyone. Sometimes it really used to annoy me, coz she was just so much possessive of us. If we speak to anyone outside our "circle of trust", we knew we'll get a good spanking. She is married and well settled now, her's been the only marriage i have attended (others who trod that path are - tapan, parihar and payal) and it was just amazing to be wth old friends.

Tapan bhau, praihar and me shared a very special bond. We were like three legs of tripod. (with a support in form of aditi, shanu and payal). Tapan is one of the most genuine, down to earth person i have ever met, which makes him all the more vulnerable. He is one good samaritan always ready to help others.

Parihar on the other hand is the person who is a hallmark of gravity and maturity. He is the most learned of us all, (also coz he's seen the world more than us ;), most well behaved, best of ettiquete and mannerism, highly sentimental and very trustworthy. Well which mean an excellent ingredient for a long term good freind and that's exactly what he is. I learned from him a lot, but never told him this. Me, tapan and parihar were so different individually but somewhere we compliemented each other in many aspects.

Well we would be with each other in all moments, but time really changed after job. Distance started mattering, job becaome a priority, i personally could not invest much in fostering the relation, though i always liked and loved my freinds. I missed Tapan's and Parihar's marriage, sth we vowed to be part of (during college ) becoz of certain other commitments which became a priority then..well i dont sound to be giving excuses..but i sometimes i think i 'have missed some really good moments of my life...

Wish all of us could be together again, cherishing old memories and deeds..wish only this time could roll back (just like benjamin button)...

wish we could be friends..WE WERE ONCE...

I just WISH...

Fall of a LEGEND - Michael Jackson

I was devastated by the news & in such a pain, i just cldn't contain myself from writing few things about this legend who entertained mankind through his moves and blockbuster numbers for decade.

This day will be remembered as one of the most mournful day in the history of mankind. A true entertainer's demise overshadowed the whole world. Like any other human being, Michael was also susceptible & vulnerable. He had his shares of controversies BUT ages from now he will be remembered for giving the world "music videos and moonwalk". In my opinion he was and he will be the best on-stage entertainer through ages.

I am so out of words right now, i have grown up on MJ's antics and performance. He may have left this world but in our hearts he will always be there.

Rise UP

Mumbai faced the worst terrorist attacks ever and the aftermath will continue to haunt our souls for a longtime.

Many lives were lost and reason for my anger and frustration is that by calculated and timely response even more lifes could have been avoided, ONLY IF our ministers 'd been little more proactive. The whole administartion needs an autopsy. They behave like puppets to the hands of such elements, whenever the nation has faced a crisis situation like this. Instead of using advanced intelligence to their advantage and taking charge of the situation, they have always fallen prey to it.

So why suffer a common man for act of men, nominated by us and who have always deceived us. AND Why suffer a common man, for the act of men who fail to qualify as humans.
Time has come for us to react strongly to the situation and take the charge of our SOIL.
We recently saw a revolution of a sort on 3rd Dec, when people assembled for peace march at Gateway of India (Mumbai) and the message was strong and clear - we hate our politicians as much we hate these fucking terrorists - no more bloodbath - else.....

there was anguish, frustration, respect (for our martyrs), and ambition for a better India.
We do not want to be showcased as helpless- so better our very ministers understand the message.
We know our ineterst better than any one else and RIGHT NOW, what we want is to - ERADICATE TERRORISM .....which means hard measures to be taken immediately to counter all the punishable offence and set a tone to the terrorist world.

the fantabulous JOKER

Few years back, i watched Batman Begins, the remake of a superhero series brought back to life. i am nt a batman freak... But christopher nolan revived the character through his brilliant story telling methodology..that indeed caught my eyeballs...and one reason being the charismatic actor Liam Neeson of Schindler's list fame (my all time favorite), along with christian bale..

Cut to 2008, the caped crusader is back in the new avatar with The Dark Knight.
An euphoria and frenziness around the movie, never seen or heard before, but the only catch, this time its not the superhero but the JOKER who seemed to be garnering all the media attention. I also heard it...thought what crap. Yes, that prompted me to look fwd to this flick long before, and i am glad to say, the euphoria is only the tip of the iceberg.

WHY? Just go and watch this latest hollywood superhero offering, and you'l come out all praises..as for me i feel like watching again and again. Done it 5 times as of now.

Yes, the very existence of a superhero has been questioned by a supervillain who doesn't play by any rule, LITERALLY speaking...

Kudos to a powerpacked superb performance by the late Heath Ledger, who died early this year due to a drug overdose, probably bcause he was living the character too much....am i letting my emotions play and exaggerate...NO...just watch, i only wish he were alive to see himself win that OSCAR ...which he missed few years back.

form the very first sequence, the JOKER is witty enough for our applause and in the very next he shows you to disappear a pencil, BANG!! unpredictable...u r thumped..and this is just the start...he fosters psycho terrorism and makes you believe in himself....gotham fears him and so do his allies...he has no rules, no logic behind his mayhem..which is actally more terrifying..

you will be delighted to see Heath playing the character, he seemed to overshadow everyone including christian bale, who has little room to showcase his acting skills and more to display his armours and action skills. But soon you see batman living up to his superhero stature, and catching the JOKER, and you only feel sad, as its one and a hlf hrs, and movie looks to end..that's the intermission.
Fish, i thought. i'd read the reviews, JOKER terrorising Gotham, Batman's vulberability and existence questioned to death. Where was all of that...and i thought to wait and watch... And wht a wait it was..nt disppointed...its JOKER and his histrionics all the way...he pollutes your mind...he is not someone who is not vulnerable but he just doesn't give up...he captures your mind..he says" .. i am like a dog who runs after a moving object...bt doesn't knw wht to do"...yes he is just so finicky.

JOKER's one liners -
"...why should i kill you, you are the very reason of my exsitence, "you complete me" ; copied from jerry maguire :)
"...let me see that smile on your face...BANG!"
"...he missed me..bang"
"..why so serious son...why so serious...
"....i am an agent of chaos"
".....lets bring some anarchy"
"..mob has a plan, police has a plan, i dnt work by plans"
"...Madness...u c is like gravity, all it needs is a PUSH "
"....this city needs a different class of criminals..."

it's a complete cinema...some good dialogues...superb action sequences...worthy performances esp by harvey dent's character..which has been well crafted and acted..above all nt to miss...the mind blowing background score... which is the soul of the movie..fantabulous..

this certainly goes down as the best hollywood motion picture ever made...i have still nt over it..gonna watch it the 4th time..soon....those of u still waiting for DVD's ....rush now....

for those of you who already watched...post in ur best scenes from the movie...:)
as for me...the last scene was kool one...JOKER upside down.."....u just wont let me go...Madness...u see..is like gravity..all it needs is a little PUSH"....

The Braveheart

This will go down as a momentous day in my life...last night i saw a fighter defeating a leader in a nerve-shredding epic show of one's skill and perseverance @ -- WIMBLEDON finals '08. Yep ...the indomitable..RAFA defeating the ruling champ FEDERER and earning a title for Spain which has been eluded since 1966. Also becoming only the second player after Bjon Borg..winning roland garros and wimbledon in the same year...WOW!! m sure..rank 1 wld be next on his mind...

It was the most thrilling match one cld have imagine in which the clay court champ, NADAL - ended Federer's aura of invincibility on green court, with an awesome display of skill and a "never give up" attitude.

He totally ruled the game from the word go, winning the first two sets and showing a sign of wrapping the game as early as third set..but then lightning strike(literally) and match went for a toss due to rains..

when game resumed..things changed..Fed's survival instinct kicked in..and the match went through series of tie breakers into the fifth set...where NAdal's survival instinct prevailed over Fed's mental toughness.. hmm...hell of a match..

Kudos to Nadal--- a true braveheart...

Cheers!

~Pulchritude has a divine profundity~

Good thing about blogging is that its legal as of now..as one writes anything and everything..open his/her heart out...ppl sometime tend to cross that thin line... i wnt be surprised if we come across sth like a "cyber blog law" -- that would regulate closely on wht and how one is writing blogs.....(courtesy AAmir, AB hoopla)...til that moment lets enjoy our independence...

well taking excerpts frm my college days...i feel like penning down this exp...
like others...i was not oblivion to CAT/XAT bug..it did bit me...and badly...i enrolled myself for coaching classes - PT india - who besides brushing basic and advanced quantitative, language and aptitude skills, also helped us groom our personality for the D war.

During one of those days..when we had just started "enjoying" classes - i heard of this phrase - "Pulchritude possesses solely cutaneous profundity" -- it took me few weeks and some brainstorming sessions with frds... to understand its literal and overt meaning...i.e. beauty is only skin deep next week this followed - "Freedom from encrustations of grime is contiguous to possessing divine attributes"....and many more...

those were tough days..

i was struggling with wordlist and usage, trying to mug up anything and everything that came my way...in the process i created my own lexicon...with unmatched data and ecclectic information...

nw 4 yrs gone...
i can tell u the literal meaning of these phrases...bt any in-depth analysis and i fail to find their relevance... after all pulchritde doesn 't solely posses cutaneous depthness...rather much more...pulchritude in any form---can kil you...possess u with undefined powers..make u lunatic..etc etc... meanwhile some puzzles for you ppl....feel free to respond...

1. Scintillate, scintillate, asteroid minim
2.The person presenting the ultimate cachinnation possesses thereby the optimal cachinnation 3.Probity gratifies reflexively
4. Promiscuity, controlled substances, and annepestic tempo

21

It feels nice to graduate from writing exams paper reviews to discussing movies which influence me to some extent. I am an ardent fan of cinematic masterpieces like Schindler's list, Shawshank Redemption, Godfather trilogy, The Departed..to name a few...

this also comes from the fact that my job demand this knowhow to such an extent. well few weeks back i watched this hollywood flick "21" starring Jim Stugress, predictably the next big sensation in hollywood.

the movie is about a studious and exceptionally talented MIT grad, who aspires to join Harvard School (where admission fee costs an astronomical 300,000 $), but he's nt financially sound and has difficulty making "needs meet end".

Hence he took up a job (that pays him a paltry 8$ an hour) simultaneously starts preparation for the scholarship which would be his wild card to enter harvard, but that will be granted to only one among hundred students who can dazzle the panel with not just their CV but also with that ONE thing that really distinguishes them from the crowd.

Well well...so how does he dazzles his interviewer...thats what this flick is all about...
a must watch...

And just FYI...a bollywood flick "Teen Patti" is being made on similar lines...with Amitabh donning the role of Kevin Spacey from the original..and Madhavan playing jim...so watch for it...shld be good fun..

Cheers!!

Jolly Jolt

Hi people,

Sorry for absconding for so long. Was trying to organise myself in new job.

But received couple of jolts,in a different format, when i learnt about my friend, Tapan eloping with his love interest(or the other way round), getting married, and presently living in mumbai. Quite a surprise, the news hit me like a rock, not that i am not happy, but none of us had expected this to come from Tapan.

Well at the end, what mattered was his happiness, which i could make over the phone.
Good.

in another twist of fate...a long drawn love battle came to a pleasant end..when my freinds convinced their parents and got engaged...

i really wonder...will i ever get such opportunity..hmm

Now that the Love is Gone!!

All you party animals, must have heard DG's(David Guetta) " love is gone" for sure. Now read it!!

"What are we suppose to do
After all that we’ve been through
When everything that felt so right is wrong
Now that the love is gone

There is nothing left to prove
No use to deny this simple truth
Can’t find the reason to keep holding on
Now that the love is gone
(Love is gone)

Love is gone

The Show Must Go On

Thursday was an end of an inning (hope well played)..as it was my last working day in MaFoi, and i was as sad as my colleagues esp Faiz. I could find him different, we have spent such a wonderful time together, teasing, fighting, helping, disturbing.... each other in all times. He is a gem of a guy, so genuine, straightforward and innocent.

Well the day started on a busy note, as there were many formalities that need to be completed. I never felt so nostaligic in my life ever, as yesterday. the days here in Ma Foi passed by so quickly, i still felt like spending some more time here, there was so much still to learn and know. I was extremely comfortable with my team, then why such a decision?

Probably the offer was indeed crucial and tempting for sky rocketing my career. But I must say, i have had this golden opportunity to work with one of the best companies in India, at this juncture of my career. Company which instills immense faith in its employee by providing a platform to grow the way he/she'd like to grow. The work culture is excellent and you are treated as being part of a huge family, so when u part, everybody is sad.

When i send out my parting mail, i'd expected few and known to revert. but i was really shocked to receive reply from people i have never seen but known only through HR mails. Thats how you are treated in Ma Foi family.

i have such fond memories of this place, time spent with my colleagues...i have been lucky enough to be part of BD and Assessments team during my tenure and thats how i earned worthy freinds..Faiz, Abhishek, Anthony, Poooja, Smita, Karthika....i also found someone who filled the emptiness inside me..and with whom i could be all time..but not everything that starts well..ends well..
anyways...i have seen people leaving and i knw its really difficult..and tough time esp when u share a strong bonod with them..when Anthony went out we could feel the same..for many days..we would search for him at our workplace and find no one..there was vacuum....emptiness..we missed the talks..discussions in cafeteria, time enjoyed together and everything...OK thatt how u feel when u r still part of the orgn..

but now i can even relate to the person who has left and what he is going through...its even more tougher for him/her...starting afresh in new firm...taking stock of situation, ur job, people..culture...finding one who would gel with you and one u can trust....etc..and at the same time...u miss it all...ur old buddies..u r left with so many memories to be cherished whole life..

Buut thts what is a rule of life...Change..we live and change...we learn and change..we do mistakes and change..we think and change...in the stage of life..we play different roles at different time..one need to understand this and pick up fast..and enjoy every moment of life...

seems like a new ACT is starting for me on this stage where actors are different...role is challenging and....i m without a script...but i knw that i am a good actor ..i have done it in the past..will do it again..

So the Show Must Go on.

In da School!!

A very unusual time to publish a post, bt doesn't matter.

In order to occupy my mind with some positive thoughts, i often go back to my school days. i remember the golden time of my life and that helps me sideline other worries.

In school you are free as a bird, quite often you are tempted to break the shackles of discipline. You do what you are not told to do. You always have your own herd of friends, who are just your alterego, ppl u hang around with most of the time.

Being an outoging, aggresive guy i made many friends and even more enemies. But just as u cant hold the water that's squeezing through ur hand, similarly friends also lose contact and hence you try to preserve those few droplets which had alwys been with you from the start, during good and bad times.

We were 8 of us, from the start till date. Saket, Anup, Mayur, Mukesh, Bobby, Radha, Sony and Myself, strongly bonded through years. There was an amzing dynamic and emotional connect among us. We would stand for each other during all times.

Mayur - the charismatic leader of our school, prefect, studious guy, good orator, adored by all esp faculties who hated me loved him, a casanova.

Saket - the technically sound chap, behnon ka bhaiya kishan kanhaiya, topper in all subjects, good natured humanitarian whom everybody used to love, more than a real brother in many sense.

Mukesh - the golden boy with a golden heart, a good samaritan, determined to join police force, my volleyball companion, we called him ambrose nt coz his capabilities with ball, bt coz he looked like him

Anup - well, if u ever wana know me, contact him, he is my man, gora changa, ladkiyon ka cutie pie, super athlete, and equally good at studies. we have been best buddies sharing everything from start

Bobby - the super hot girl, whom everbody used to stare on, beauty without brain is how we used to symbolise her, very hardworking and ambitious lady, a perfect freind, i had a crush on her from the start, and then she had on me when i was seein someone else. hmm these things happen with me quite ofetn u knw. we have a pact, if we find no one, we shall marry each other. :)

Sony - we knew each other frm the time, when we were in kg standard. so almost 20 yrs now. I dnt think i need to explain anything more. We have been with each other for so long and seen each other growing. She's been a perfect critic and a worthy friend, very preserving of our relationship. She has been my notes, recess, and sometimes my punisment partner as well.

Radha -- Well my BEST FRIEND, with whom i have shared in and out of my life, she feels the same for me. For her Saurabh is what friendship is all about and i am so obliged for that. When i dint study, she used to worry the most, when i had a heartbreak she used to feel the most. she was a good listener, particularly when i was speaking. When we fought she wld cry if i stop talking to her. Very sensitive and good natured human being.

Some one is missing. I said 8 of us. well ...ok its me.

So how was i in school. ideally these people should be responding, nevertheless i will take this opporunity on others behalf. (for any missing link..feel free to comment)

From the start i was the most notorious kid, always looking out for trouble, be it in any form. Teachers and students were all fed up of my acts. I was always charged up and dared to do things others would think twice. Breaking glass panes, switch borad, classboards, cracking bombs esp when its nt a diwali season, and esp in ur faculties room, u hate the most. And then even getting caught for things i dint do bt everybody thought i wld have planned.

And then my lovely friends SAMM making sure all this reached my mom in the best filtered format as in saurabh has nothing to do with it, he was made involved! faculties just hate him :)

I loved doing all kinda acts that grabbed attention. I just hated studying in school (bt nt bad in studies), to me it was a place where u come to enjoy and be away from home - a place where u follow rules set by your parents. I just hate rules.

I was always absconding frm my lectures (few dared to do so) esp during 10-12th class...Volleyball and Basket ball court is were one used to find me esp if it was a challenge match. Anup and mukesh used to be my partner, saket wld help us saving face in front of faculties whose class we used to bunk, mayur wld save me from the principal as he was more influential, radha was an emotional support, she wld share things with me, which no body knows, bobby took care of my belongings like school bag and other stuff's which used to reach home safely. All in all i am incomplete without my friends. We have grown , learnt and been with each other in all times. Hope this journey never ends.

There is just so much to write...well this blog may nt hold so much information. :)

Its 3.25pm nw, m in office, just relaxing after lunch. Well nw i need to get back to some serious work, u never knw ur IT ppl, perhaps they wld be aware by now. Hehe

Catch up with you pppl sooon.

Cheers
Singh
